Angela is a first-year Ph.D. student studying bead-woven materials and fluid-mediated textile fabrication. She is from North Carolina, where she received her Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical and Textiles Engineering at North Carolina State University. She has worked with PolyPV and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and has a strong foundation in fabricating flexible, semi-transparent, thin film solar cells and adhesive failure. During her undergraduate studies, she organized multiple first-year engineering events for over 1,000 participants and represented the College of Engineering at NC State in engineering outreach and academic mentorship. In her free time, Angela enjoys competing in sabre fencing and cafe hopping.
